Halden Plumbing & Heating

A direct, high-contrast site for a plumbing and heating business, designed to turn visitors into phone calls and quote requests.

Halden Plumbing & Heating is a fictional business. This project was designed to demonstrate how Cyrios Sites approaches a website for this type of business. It is not client work.

The scenario

Halden is a fictional plumbing and heating business based in Aylesbury. In this scenario most of its work comes from people who need something fixed soon, often searching on a phone. The website’s job is to make it obvious what Halden does, where it works, and how to get in touch, as quickly as possible.

The approach

The phone number appears in the top bar, the hero and the footer, and every number is tap-to-call. Two clear actions lead the page: request a quote or call now.

Below that, the services are set out in a simple grid, then a three-step explanation of how a job runs. That addresses the usual worries about trades: unclear pricing and mess left behind. The page ends with the areas covered and a short quote form asking only for what’s needed to call back.

Design decisions

  • High contrast throughout. Charcoal and safety yellow are bold, practical and readable outdoors on a phone screen.
  • Condensed, uppercase headings. Archivo’s narrow width gives headings a confident, workmanlike feel without taking up much space.
  • A short form. Name, phone, postcode and a description. Every extra field loses enquiries.
  • No vague claims. The copy describes how the business works rather than relying on slogans.
